Basu Banstola, DMD

Dr. Banstola has a deep passion for dentistry and feels fortunate to call Atlanta home for most of his life. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Georgia State University in 2009, graduating summa cum laude. He then pursued his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree in 2014. During dental school, he met his beautiful wife, Indira, and the two were married shortly after graduation.
In 2014, Dr. Banstola joined a dental mission trip to Nepal with Dental Community Fellowship. Over two weeks, the team provided dental exams and treatments to underserved communities-a rewarding experience that deepened his commitment to service.

Following dental school, Dr. Banstola proudly served in the United States Navy for five years. He completed a one-year of residency, where he trained alongside top specialists and honed his skills in oral surgery, dental implants, over-dentures, root canals, Clear Aligner and comprehensive orthodontic treatment, as well as esthetic veneer cases. During his military service, he provided dental care to Sailors at Naval Station Great Lakes and to Marines at MCAS Beaufort and Parris Island. He also completed the comprehensive Maxi Implant Course at the Medical College of Georgia, gaining hands-on experience in implant placement throughout the year.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Banstola is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and seeking out adventure-including skydiving, bungee jumping, skiing, and hiking. In his free time, he loves fishing, boating, singing, and spending quality time with his family. He is the proud father of two beautiful children, Anvy and Ayven.
