Basu Banstola, DMD
Dr. Banstola has great passion for dentistry, and he feels fortunate to call Atlanta as home for most of his life. He completed his undergraduate in 2009 at the Georgia State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minor in chemistry with summa cum laude. Dr. Banstola went to Dental school in Philadelphia and received his D.M.D. degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. He also met his beautiful wife, Indira, during his dental school and got married after his graduation.
Dr. Banstola went on a dental mission trip with Dental Community Fellowship to Nepal in 2014, where the team spent two weeks performing dental examination and treatment. This trip was a great experience for Dr. Banstola, and he feels proud to serve for the needs.
Dr. Banstola served in the Navy for 5 years. He completed one-year residency program, AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry), where he trained alongside some incredible specialists and advanced his skill sets in oral surgery, implants, over-dentures, root canals, Clear Aligner / Comprehensive Orthodontics and esthetic veneer cases. He felt honored and proud to serve the dental needs of the Sailors at Naval Station Great Lakes and Marines at MCAS Beaufort and Parris Island. Dr Banstola did the comprehensive Maxi Implant Course at Medical University of Georgia, gaining crucial experience in implant placement throughout the year.
Besides being a dentist, Dr. Banstola is outdoor person who loves travelling, exploring new places and doing adventurous things like skydiving, bungie, skiing, hiking. In his free time Dr Banstola enjoys fishing, boating, singing and spending time with his family. Dr Banstola has two beautiful children named Anvy and Ayven.
Dr Banstola wants his patients to feel they are receiving quality and personalized care while adhering to the highest levels of clinical excellence. He wants to learn the new techniques and advancement in Dentistry, as today the pace of development is rapid. Using that knowledge Dr Banstola wants to help people and make positive impact in the community.
